Stephen Burks reimagines the hanging chair as a cradle-like organic form, eight-hundred-thirty-four meters of DEDON Fiber Touch wound around a powder-coated aluminum armature to read as armature first and seating second. The range now extends to a fixed armchair, footstool, lounge chair and free-standing base, all sharing the same wrapping technique developed in collaboration with DEDON's master weavers in the Philippines.

Aftercare
A five-step protocol drawn from DEDON's care manual, adapted for American climate ranges.
A soft hose stream is sufficient. DEDON Fiber Touch is UV-stable and chloride-tolerant. Monthly rinsing prevents pollen and dust from settling between the wrap turns.
Lukewarm water with a pH-neutral soap and a soft cellulose sponge handle wine, sunscreen and food spills. Avoid pressure-washing the wrapping, which can loosen the wind tension.
The hanging lounger requires a 200kg-rated overhead anchor. The free-standing base accepts the same hanging hardware without ceiling work, useful for terraces with no available structural beam.
The single Sunbrella cushion is removable; store flat in a dry location during winter months. The wrapping itself can be left outdoors year-round in zones 8 and above.
The wrap turns are tensioned by hand at the Cebu workshop. After five years of outdoor exposure, a re-wrapping service is offered through DEDON's authorised network; the Boston office coordinates returns and reinstallation.
