About Glatz
The Swiss house that engineered shade as a category. Founded in 1895 in Frauenfeld, Glatz spent its first decades as a producer of agricultural canvas and umbrella ribs before specialising in commercial parasols for hospitality and contract. The contemporary programme spans center-pole models (Alexo, Alu-Twist) for terrace and balcony, and the LED-illuminated Fortello range that runs from dusk through evening service. All frames are Swiss-engineered in powder-coated aluminum with marine-grade hardware; canopies are Sunbrella, Para and Olefin canvas.
