About emu

The Umbrian house that has been welding outdoor furniture since 1951. Founded in Marsciano by Domenico Fioretti, emu turned post-war metal craftsmanship into a permanent outdoor catalog, drawing on the same hand-bent and welded-steel technology that built the brand's first generation of café chairs for Italian piazzas. The current programme runs from light bistro seating through full hospitality and residential lounge systems. Compare with our FAST and Pedrali catalogs for adjacent specs.

Production stays in Marsciano. Frames are cataphoresis-treated, powder-coated and oven-cured for permanent outdoor exposure; cushions are quick-dry Sunbrella and rope details are hand-bound. The studio works with a roster of Italian and international designers including Christophe Pillet, Patrick Norguet, Aldo Cibic, Jean-Marie Massaud and the in-house Centro Stile emu.
