Designer
Vincent Van Duysen is an Antwerp-based architect and designer, founder of his eponymous Belgian practice in 1990. Trained in Ghent and Milan (briefly with Aldo Cibic), he has built houses, hotels and retail interiors across Europe and the United States while serving as creative director of Molteni&C since 2016 and designing for Zara Home, Poltrona Frau and B&B Italia. The Van Duysen language is monumental restraint: oversized volumes, neutral palettes, materials worked to a tactile finish that rewards close inspection. Pablo Outdoor is his outdoor lounge for B&B Italia, with oversized cushion volumes on a powder-coated steel base. The proportions are deliberately generous, the detailing intentionally understated, designed for the architectural terrace where the furniture itself frames the space.
