About the collection

Kumo

Kumo is Manutti's modular lounge collection, designed by Lionel Doyen — a modular seating island with poufs. Kumo is a light and playful contemporary seating island with pouf. Japanese for cloud, Kumo invites you to create your personalised outdoor cocoon. It comes in different shapes and sizes. The movable armrests and back supports are easily adjusted to create either a comfortable sofa or stylish lounger, a luxurious lounge chair or a relaxing footrest. Within Manutti's outdoor catalog it sits alongside San Solid.

About the Kumo collection by Manutti

Kumo sits within Manutti's permanent outdoor catalog — the Belgian house has held a position as a European specialty outdoor manufacturer with established US trade representation. Kumo is a modular seating island with poufs, produced at Manutti's European factory to the same material and documentation standard as the rest of the catalog.

Material and construction notes

For US trade specifiers, Kumo carries the same data sheets and US-trade documentation as the rest of the Manutti catalog: ASTM F1858 outdoor-furniture compliance where applicable, fire-code classification on cushion components, and chain-of-shipment documentation supplied with the invoice. Bespoke fabric or finish substitutions are accepted on a COM workflow with confirmed yardage at quote stage; see the Sunbrella and Outdura specifier reference for the workflow at the European factory.

Specifying Kumo in US trade projects

Pricing for Kumo is set on quote at US trade volumes, before fabric grade, finish premium, and consolidated freight. Lead time is 8-14 weeks from the European factory to US port for standard configurations; bespoke dimensions, COM upholstery, or large hospitality volumes extend by 4-8 weeks. The modular lounge is specified in US hospitality outdoor (boutique hotel terraces, resort pool decks, restaurant outdoor dining) and in premium residential outdoor (lake-house, pool-house, rooftop terrace) installations.

Frequently asked specifier questions

What is the lead time for Kumo?

Standard Kumo configurations ship 8-14 weeks from the European factory to US port. Bespoke dimensions or COM upholstery add 4-8 weeks. Hospitality projects above 50 pieces consolidate on a single container and follow the same standard timeline.

Is the Manutti Kumo collection covered by trade pricing?

Yes. Manutti runs a verified US trade program. Net trade pricing for Kumo is shared after qualification (designer of record, project scope) under the Manutti non-disclosure agreement applicable to premium European outdoor specifiers.

How is Kumo maintained outdoors?

Aluminum frames and quick-dry cushions need only a quarterly rinse and a twice-yearly check of fittings; reconfigure modules freely. Store soft goods off-season in freeze-thaw climates.

Care, warranty, and US service life

Aluminum frames and quick-dry cushions need only a quarterly rinse and a twice-yearly check of fittings; reconfigure modules freely. Store soft goods off-season in freeze-thaw climates. Structural elements typically carry 5-10 year warranties; fabrics and cushions 2-3 years against UV and stitching. US service life on premium European outdoor is typically 15-25 years on structural elements and 5-10 years on cushions, with COM refresh extending the cycle.
