About the collection

Arch

Arch is Cane-line's modular outdoor lounge collection, designed by the Danish duo Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen MDD and inspired by historical architectural curves. The bent, handwoven shapes of the high backs and sides give it a sheltering, majestic presence, while the seat and frame modules combine into chairs, sofas and chaise arrangements to suit the space. It is woven in weatherproof Cane-line Soft Rope on a powder-coated aluminum frame with solid teak legs, and the coffee table carries a teak top. Compare it with the Peacock and Diamond ranges, or browse the full Cane-line collection.

About the Arch collection by Cane-line

The Arch collection sits within Cane-line's permanent outdoor catalog — a modular lounge series handwoven in Cane-line Soft Rope by Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen MDD. The rope is weatherproof with high lightfastness, on a powder-coated aluminum frame with solid teak legs. Cane-line has produced outdoor furniture in Hadsund, Denmark, since 1986.

Material and construction notes

Arch combines handwoven Cane-line Soft Rope, solid teak legs and weather-ready Cane-line cushions. For US trade specifiers, Arch carries the same material data sheets and US-trade documentation as the rest of the Cane-line catalog: ASTM F1858 outdoor furniture compliance where applicable, fire-code classification on cushion components, and chain-of-shipment documentation supplied with the invoice. Bespoke fabric or finish substitutions are accepted on COM workflow with confirmed yardage at quote stage; see the Sunbrella and Outdura specifier reference for the workflow at the European factory.

Specifying Arch in US trade projects

Pricing for Arch at US trade typically falls between $1,200 and $9,000 per piece — the pouf and coffee table at the lower end, the 3-seater sofa and chaise modules higher — before fabric grade, finish premium, and consolidated freight. Lead time is 6-10 weeks from Denmark to US port for standard configurations; bespoke dimensions, COM upholstery, or large hospitality volumes extend by 4-8 weeks. The collection is specified in US hospitality outdoor (resort lounges, boutique hotel terraces, poolside cabanas) and in premium residential outdoor (terrace, poolside, courtyard) installations.

Frequently asked specifier questions

What is the Cane-line Arch collection made of?

Arch is handwoven in weatherproof Cane-line Soft Rope on a powder-coated aluminum frame with solid teak legs; the seats and backs use weather-ready Cane-line cushions and the coffee table carries a teak top. The rope has high lightfastness and needs minimal maintenance, and the collection is engineered for year-round outdoor use.

What pieces are in the Cane-line Arch collection?

The core range includes a lounge chair, a 2-seater sofa, a 3-seater sofa, a coffee table with teak top and a pouf. Behind these sit single, 2-seater and 3-seater frame modules with low or high arm and backrest that build into corner and chaise arrangements.

Is the Cane-line Arch collection covered by trade pricing?

Yes. Cane-line runs a verified US trade programme. Net trade pricing for Arch is shared after qualification (designer of record, project scope) under the standard Cane-line trade terms for premium European outdoor specifiers. COM upholstery and bespoke dimensions are accepted within manufacturer tolerance — see the FF&E procurement workflow.

Care, warranty, and US service life

Cane-line Soft Rope is engineered for outdoor exposure: rinse with clean water and mild soap, then let it air-dry. The solid teak legs weather to a silver-grey patina if left untreated, or keep their warm tone with teak oil once or twice a year. Cane-line cushions handle direct exposure but reach maximum service life when stored indoors during off-season in freeze-thaw climates. The aluminum frame carries a 5-year structural warranty; service life is typically 15+ years with basic care.
