COSMO With Cosmo, Ethimo and Studio AMDL CIRCLE tell the story of a ‘nice’ idea for outdoor living, a design concept that aims to express the most harmonious aspect of the relationship between architecture, man and nature, where design is the metalanguage that dialogues with the environment.
Cosmo is the shading pergola that makes the landscape liveable, teaming elegant contemporary aesthetics with the ability to recreate the same sensations of comfort, warmth and cosiness that can be enjoyed inside the home.
The structure is defined by sturdy brushed teak columns, a material ideal for outdoor use that gives the entire project an organic and eco-friendly character. The roof is shaped by “branches” made from cast aluminum, extending outward to support the technical, waterproof fabric canopy. Cosmo is equipped with integrated LED lighting, which provides optimal illumination in the evening hours and reflects softly onto the fabric, creating a relaxing and inviting atmosphere that enhances the architecture. With a height of 272 cm and overall dimensions of 328x328 cm, Cosmo creates a generous shaded area, ideal for enjoying outdoor spaces in total comfort.
Its large-scale architecture fits beautifully into a variety of outdoor settings to create an intimate, protected, privileged perspective of the surrounding environment, enhancing the connection between people and vegetation.

Cosmo sits within the catalog of Ethimo, the Italian outdoor furniture house, and is designed by AMDL CIRCLE. Ethimo produces in Italy across specialty outdoor materials — teak, powder-coated aluminum, rope, ceramic, stone and outdoor fabrics — selected per collection, with established US trade representation.
For US trade specifiers, Cosmo carries the same material data sheets and US-trade documentation as the rest of the Ethimo catalog: ASTM F1858 outdoor furniture compliance where applicable, fire-code classification on cushion components, and chain-of-shipment documentation supplied with the invoice. Bespoke fabric or finish substitutions are accepted on COM workflow with confirmed yardage at quote stage; see the Sunbrella and Outdura specifier reference for the workflow at the European factory.
Net pricing for Cosmo is quoted at US trade volumes, before fabric grade, finish premium, and consolidated freight. Lead time is 8-14 weeks from the Italian factory to US port for standard configurations; bespoke dimensions, COM upholstery, or large hospitality volumes extend by 4-8 weeks. The collection is specified in US hospitality outdoor (boutique hotel terraces, resort pool decks, restaurant outdoor dining) and in premium residential outdoor (terrace, courtyard, poolside) installations.
